Christmas Card #1

I have been making Christmas cards for a few years now, but this is the first year I won't be sending any store bought at all...it's homemade or nothing! :)  I typically make a few cards of several different designs so I don't get bored and then I have a variety of styles/colors/sentiments I can pick from when I'm chosing a card for a specific individual.  Here is the first card I'm going to share this year:

This card is CASED from Vicki Wizniuk, a fellow CTMH consultant.  It features the paper from "Believe" which has Holiday Red, Sweet Leaf, Sky and White Daisy in it.  I used a stamp from Papertrey Ink for the sentiment in Black (some say Season's Greetings and some say Merry & Bright).  The snowflake is a Marvy punch and then I used a white snowflake brad in the center I purchased at JoAnn's.  I didn't glue the snowflake down, it's attached with the brad, which allows for it to spin if you want to.  The scallop border across the bottom is a Fiskars border punch.

The assembly of a group of these is fairly easy and the end result is a nice not too bulky card that is easy to mail.  I made 6 of these for Operation Write Home back in November and 4 for my own use.  Hope you like it!

Yes, I am a slacker...

I have not posted anything on my blog in FOREVER, but I have been super busy I promise.  Here are a few of the goodies I've made the past few months...there's more to post, but I'm only working with the pics I've uploaded to my work computer...sshhh...don't tell!

This card uses paper from the Miracle paper pack (CTMH), bamboo and colonial white cardstock (CTMH) and the Miracle Stickease (CTMH).  I also used itty bitty sparkles and colonial white buttons from CTMH.  The blue rhinestone and sheer cream ribbon was from my stash.  The pattern for this card was cased from a fellow CTMH consultant.

This card uses paper from the Topstictch paper pack, baby pink and colonial white cardstock from CTMH.  The stamp image and sentiment is from a CTMH stamp set called Childhood Portrait (D1373).  I also used itty bitty brads from CTMH and the stamping was done in Chocolate ink from CTMH.

Ok, ok, so some of these cards are ones I did a long time ago...but they still need to be seen, right?  I don't know why it's so hard for me to remember to take pictures of the things I create, but I will try to do better.

Close To My Heart Updates from the 2010 Convention!!

I am so sad that I could not make it to the CTMH Convention this year, but I am so happy some of the consultants that are there have been sharing pictures and updates and I wanted to share those with you!

The first update is the release of 8 new colors!!!  They are all in the Summer collections and they are: Gypsy, Pacifica, Sunset, Cotton Candy, Lagoon, Pear, Sky & Smoothie.  Great, bright colors!!  Can't wait to see them in person!!!  Of course this will mean that some colors are retiring, so I will have to stock up on those...oh darn!

More updates to come...I don't want to spoil all the fun at one time!!! :-)
